Hi, I’m Fumi.

I was born and raised in Japan, and moved to Canada at 24 — that’s when I picked up a camera and started capturing life.

Since then, I’ve traveled, worked on film sets and music videos, and met countless people along the way.

What draws me to photography is the real, unfiltered moments — the kind of expressions and stories that shine through in everyday life. I believe everyone is the protagonist of their own story. Even the smallest moments carry something deeply personal and powerful.

One Life Story was born from that belief. Through photography and words, I hope to create a space where hearts can connect across cultures and borders. And maybe, in some quiet way, these stories can bring light to someone’s life.​
